Newsletter from Karl and Mary Badalian – July and August, 2019

We stayed busy in July and August. It seems we are busier when at home than when we are on the road so July was especially busy. We spent a few days moving our belongings from one house to another. Moving 15 years of accumulated “stuff” sure lets you know what things in your life are no longer of importance. As we were getting ready to go on the road we had to fix storm damage to our fifth wheel trailer, our awning was torn off of our trailer by straight-line winds. We were also able to take about three days having fun helping friends lay carpeting in their home.

In August we met co-workersDewain and Linda Crouch in Arkansas to help the folks at Clarksville Baptist Church with construction on their new church building. Through some of the hottest days in summer, with temperatures in the upper 90s, we hung insulation on the walls and ceiling. We were grateful for a scissors lift that made it possible to reach the 25 foot ceiling peak. After getting the insulation hung we were able to blow some cool morning air into the building and close the building to keep the inside temperature down in the 80s. After hanging insulation we did some framing and hung some sheetrock. Next on the agenda will be nailing oak shiplap boards on the ceiling of the sanctuary and trying to get more sheetrock on the walls before prior commitments necessitate our departure the end of September.

I don’t believe that we can thank you all enough for the support you have given us, for the many prayers, and for the other help we have received to make this ministry able to continue. I would encourage anyone who has the ability to travel to come and help us and see firsthand how rewarding it is to be part of a building Ministry. We are looking forward to seeing what God has in store for New Testament Church Planting. We hope you get involved in this ministry through prayer or giving of yourselves to help other churches. We have lots of work but few laborers. Please pray that the Lord will send more laborers into this field.

FUTURE PLANS: We think that September and October will find us in Sapulpa Oklahoma and Independence Kansas.

1 Thessalonians 5:25 Brethren, pray for us.
