Newsletter from Karl and Mary Badalian – November and December, 2020

What an interesting and full two months we had in November and December. We started off November on vacation, yes a real vacation. We traveled from Missouri to Virginia with Darrell and Trish Miller, a couple from our home church. We visited historic Williamsburg, Yorktown, Jamestown and Washington DC. Election day, November 3rd, was spent in Washington DC visiting our nation’s capital. Trish Miller even got interviewed by a Washington Post reporter as she sat on the Lincoln Memorial steps taking in the sunset.

While in Virginia we attended service with Newport News Baptist Church. They currently use rented facilities in a hotel and we got to go look at a building they were thinking about buying.

Once we returned home to Wilson Creek Baptist Church we worked on getting our trailers ready for the road. We were about to leave Missouri when the Lord called Bob Perryman, the founder of New Testament Church Planting, home. We stayed in Missouri a few extra days so we could attend Brother Perryman’s funeral then we caravanned down to Picayune, Mississippi with Dewain and Linda Crouch, and our newest members Steve and Deb Worrell. Our mission is to work on the interior of a building we erected last winter.

We started by constructing a couple small porches on the front of the building and installed flashing prior to spray foam insulation. We then concentrated on getting the sheet rock hung. The building is a 40 by 80 foot addition to the existing facility. It will hold three classrooms, a mission’s apartment, a kitchen area, laundry room, two bunkrooms, and a training facility to teach missionaries useful skills for the field including construction, plumbing, automobile maintenance and welding. We currently have a lot of the sheetrock and about half of the heating and air work completed.

Please pray for folks like Newport News Baptist Church who are in need of a permanent home and please pray for our ministry that the Lord would send laborers into this much utilized field.

Our plans for the next couple of months is to finish up with the work here and then see where the Lord will lead us for our next adventure.
