Newsletter from Karl and Mary Badalian – January and February, 2020

We started off 2020 in Picayune Mississippi working with the folks at Heritage Baptist Church. Our plans were to work on the building project in Picayune, however our plans often are not what God has in store for us. Trusting in Him is always our best option which we found out again as we were put in touch with Fellowship Baptist Church in Panama City, Florida.

They had been without the use or their sanctuary since 2018 when a hurricane destroyed much of that costal town. We were fortunate to get fellow NTCP workers David and Sharyn Finley to stop for a week as they traveled the “southern route” from Texas to North Carolina. Then, because of much rainy weather slowing down the preliminary dirt work in Mississippi, Dewain and Linda Crouch were able to join us for two weeks. These two NTCP families along with Mary and I were able to install interior doors, paint some walls, install suspended ceiling, finish the tile work on two large bathrooms and place the bathroom partitions, tile two smaller bathrooms, all of which helped the congregation get back in their main building prior to their February missions conference, just as they had hoped.

Back in Mississippi by the end of January we got the dirt work done and built the forms for the concrete pour. We installed the metal roof joists and pearlings, then sheeted the roof. The storage shed we helped to complete in December was put to good use as a semi truck load of supplies on their way to help churches in Mexico needed to be offloaded.

FUTURE PLANS: The Lord knows but we think we will be in Mississippi for a couple of months.
