Third Quarter 2013

Third Quarter 2013

Psalm 127:1 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it:…

The summer of 2013 was a carbon copy of all other summers for New Testament Church Planting. The challenges of a helps ministry are always in the forefront, delays on permits, material deliveries, and as always the cost to both our workers and the churches we were helping. But as we face these challenges, we are provided more opportunity for our God to bless.

In the past three months, God has allowed us to complete many small jobs as well as build one building from the ground up, to the point of being dried in, ready for roofing and siding. These jobs were in several states from Wyoming to North Carolina. Many of the smaller jobs allowed startup churches to get into their buildings and start having services in a permanent facility. Other jobs that NTCP workers had assisted before were able to afford more material so the work began once more.

Many times it would seem to us that God could work out the details to make our lives a little easier but then when we look back on the finished products we find his plan was truly the blessed plan.

Churches in NY, NM, MN, FL and Texas are needing assistants with finances and that has certainly been a challenge but He has also supplied to help two of these so far. Our loan fund stays depleted most of the time and banks are limited by the government rules in making loans to these newly established churches. This is not a complaint but a challenge that we ask you to continually pray about. We certainly serve a God who is not limited by government nor by any act of man.

Since New Testament Church Planting began, Pastors and churches across America and several overseas have allowed God to use them to meet and overcome the challenges. I am not a pessimist but I do feel the road ahead will also be full of obstacles, but that should only cause us to press on with the understanding that He desires for us to be people of faith, with the full assurance that He will build the church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it

In our churches we are presented with many “needs” for establishing new churches and must rely on God’s leading in these matters. But beyond God’s involvement we need next willing servants who will accept the challenge and stay through the hard times to be able to see the great victories. In the area of physical needs evidence would seem to show that a permanent location, a true physical address with an adequate building where visitors can be invited to come join with the local church in the community is truly a priority.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Thank you for your faithful support
