HOW TO PRAY FOR YOUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN
Psalms 127:3 “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”
Proverbs 17:6 “Children’s children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.”
PRAY
1.That they wi!! be saved early in life.
2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
2.That they will develop a hatred for sin.
Psalms 97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out ofthe hand of the wicked.
3.That they will be caught when guilty.
Psalms 119:71/t is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
4. That they will be protected from evil in each area of their lives: spiritual, mental, social, and physical.
John 17:14-19 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. and sanctify them in God’s truth
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
5. That they will have a responsible attitude in all interpersonal relationships.
Daniel 6:3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit wasin him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
6. That they will respect the authorities in their lives.
Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
7. That they will desire the right friends and be protected from wrong friends.
Proverbs 1:10-11 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
8. That they will be kept from the wrong mate and will be saved for the right mate.
2 Cor. 6:14-17 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what feiiowship hath, righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
9. That both they and those they will marry will be kept pure until marriage.
1 Cor. 6:18-20 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, andye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
10.That they will actively resist Satan in all circumstances.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
11. That they will be singlehearted – willing to be sold out to Jesus Christ.
Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
12. That they will be hedged in so they cannot find their way to wrong people or wrong places; and, those wrong people will not find them.
Job 1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
