The work here at Heritage Baptist Church in Picayune Mississippi has progressed quite nicely. The big push on the building was to finish the three rooms and two bathrooms that will be used as a mission’s apartment area and bunk room.

The first part of January we were able to get much of the sheetrock hung in the entire building, installed doors, ran AC ducting, sanded, textured and painted walls, installed lights, and hung tin on the ceilings.

The first part of February we had a great time attending a missions conferenceat Grace Independent Baptist Church in nearby Ocean Springs Mississippi. We worked on the church building here in Picayune until 3:00 then cleaned up and headed to the missions conference for food and great preaching. The following week the Perkins family from Ocean Springs was able to visit us and assist in the Picayune building project. Steve, wife Kristi, and daughters Sarah, Leah, and Natalieall helped with painting, plumbing and staining the wood we are using to trim the building.

It was great to see the folks at Heritage Baptist Church working together with our New Testament Church Planting people to get the job done. Through lots of hard work and some late nights we were able to complete the mission and bunk room areas just in time to house some men for the Ministry Meeting at Heritage Baptist Church on March 1st and 2nd.

Thanks to all of you that have stood beside Mary and I and the New Testament Church Planting Ministry, allowing us the privilege of helping sister churches across this country.

Our plansfor the next couple of months are to continue on the building here and see when it gets warm enough to move on to jobs farther north.
