The NTCP workers and the members of Bible Baptist Church in Montalba, Texas made some good progress on the new building over the past two months. The Crouches, the Murphys, and the Finleys were all here during this time. We finished with the metal siding and roof early in January managing to get the building “dried in”. This allowed us to get the electrical and plumbing roughed in. The building then got the sprayed in insulation. Getting the insulation done allowed us to complete the sheetrock work. We also were able to get the texturing and painting done on about half of the building.
Pastor Moody from Wilson Creek Baptist Church in Missouri, our home church, came down twice with loads of donated building supplies. Once with a load of doors and sinks from the folks at Chapel Street Baptist Church in Landis, North Carolina, another time with a load of tile from Preach Evangelistic Ministry in Seymour, Missouri.
The end of February we were fortunate to have Rubin Ray come from Albuquerque, New Mexico to do the drop ceiling grid. By getting a great deal on the grid and ceiling tile and bringing it with him he was able to save the church here several thousand dollars. Though Rubin has helped NTCP several times in the past this was the first trip which his wife and son were able to come.
It is our hope that two more months of work here will see the building completed and that Bible Baptist Churchwill be able to utilize this new facility to worship in and to reach this community for the Lord.
Please pray for us as we labor, and for the NTCP ministry. We have plenty of projects and churches in need of help. Please pray that God would see fit to send additional laborers into this field.
Our future plans are to finish up the job here. After that we will be heading back to Missouri. Mary and I are considering putting our house on the market. It seems our “home” is on the road.
