Welcome to Daniel’s Band – we’re glad you’ve stopped by. Each Sunday in Daniel’s Band room, we seek to develop and encourage our young people in the lifelong pursuit of becoming “…instruments of righteousness unto God.” (Romans 6:13b) Not the typical “band room” with instruments of music.
Daniel and his three companions were a band of young men who displayed exceptional wisdom and understanding that influenced kings’ hearts, provinces and changed history. This small band of devoted, God-fearing young men were a tremendous example of faith and purity. Daniel was an amazing servant and prophet of God who prayed and studied the Scriptures daily. He and his colleagues Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, known more commonly as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, spoke the truth of God’s Word with dignity and respect despite living in an unbelieving and often hostile nation. Their mutual trust, confidence, and walk of faith are examples for our young people today.
Our desire is to nurture that endeavor enabling them to develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding of God’s Word in their walk with Him. We pray the study, fellowship, and fun at Wilson Creek Baptist Church will result in young men and women becoming instruments of righteousness unto God, who will faithfully serve our risen Lord Jesus Christ.
Daniel 1:17 “As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom….”
I Chronicles 12:23 “And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.”
